About Us

We don’t just make food – we create opportunities.

Harroz is a women-founded company based in Toronto, with a mission to empower women by providing employment and financial stability. The company specializes in locally-made, frozen and fresh halal food products crafted from scratch. Our offerings bring the unique, mild, and rich flavors of Afghanistan, West, and Central Asia to the Canadian market.

Our product range includes Ready-to-Heat, 2-minute full kit meals such as Beef Mantu (Halal Beef Dumplings), Chicken Dumplings, and Ashak (Mixed Chives Dumplings). These meals are perfect for a quick grab-and-go option for work, school, or a simple lunch or dinner. The meat inside is cooked, and the dumplings are steamed for hours, a process that typically takes 4–5 hours, but they’ve made it possible for customers to enjoy these dishes in just two minutes while preserving the authentic taste and rich flavors.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to craft a culinary journey that brings traditional Afghan and global dishes closer to you. Whether you’re on the move, at home, or hosting an event, we’re dedicated to offering the most intelligent and delightful path to explore diverse tastes and experiences. Beyond ingredients, we unlock the transformative essence of culinary traditions, connecting communities, opening doors to new opportunities, and rekindling history by embracing the Silk Road’s legacy on Yonge Street, echoing its rich historical and cultural significance.

OUR IMPACT

We strongly believe in the potential for talent and growth. Thousands of women, youth, and newcomers in Canada cannot afford to pursue their dreams or start small businesses due to a lack of funds and resources. Many newcomers face language barriers and numerous challenges that make it difficult to overcome these hardships and find opportunities.

It’s undeniable that these difficulties persist until they can access the necessary resources and opportunities. Without support, their passion becomes unbalanced, and the drive to achieve their dreams fades away. We witness and experience this firsthand.

While some manage to start their businesses after years of struggle, many quickly fail or shut down due to a lack of support. With a little assistance and peace of mind, they could push themselves to the next level.

The “I Got Your Back” fund aims to assist women and youth in crisis by identifying their talents and potential in the agriculture and food production industry. We provide them with resources, training, on-the-job experience, and work on improving their self-esteem so they can become successful entrepreneurs and achieve financial stability.
